I’m in the process of using facial recognition to group by person and then selecting all the files of that person and writing their name into tags. It’s working out really well actually, except occasionally I run into the following:
Sometimes when I select all the photos of one person and attempt to write a tag, I notice that the “add to” new tag option is greyed out. I was trying to understand why this was happening. At first I thought there was a limit to how many pictures you could apply the tag to at once. Then I realized after much trial and error, that some photographs will not allow you to apply a tag because of their format. For example, PNG.
However, I’d like to suggest that when selecting a group of photographs, that Tonfotos does not grey out the option of adding a tag, even if one of the photos is a format that can’t be tagged. I think a better option would be to allow the other photos to be tagged, and simply display an error message for the file that was not possible to tag.
Otherwise, currently I need to spend an enormous amount of time figuring out which photo is causing Tonfotos to disallow tagging, because there’s no quick way to filter out these problem files when selecting a group of files.
Thanks, loving the program so far!
