Hello, @Andrey,
how does the recognition process work, actually? I mean, call your locally installed program (Tonfotos) any server, where your AI is located, or is your AI programmed in your locally installed program, directly? Send your program any data through the internet? Save your program local picture or its metadata somewhere out of the local PC?

I miss this information in your https://tonfotos.com/image_viewer.html#recognition page. Thank you.

Yco Thank you for pointing out, we need to make this more clear on our web site.

All recognition is done locally. Tonfotos does not send your data anywhere.

The only exception is anonymous usage statistics that Tonfotos collects in free version, but it does not contain any personal data, it is just so we can understand what features are used more and things of that nature. In paid versin you can completely disable this statystics collection.

Thank you for your honesty, @Andrey . What anonymous usage statistics are sent in a free version to your server for example? (I just confirmed a person in a picture and communication was activated.) If it won’t be stopped in a paid version, can I get my money back?

Yco Thank you for your honesty

Oh, we are very transparent about that. There is a separate check box every user has to explicitly accept durint installation. There is also very concise summary of main points of EULA in EULA dialog, and this is second point in that summary. So we did everything in our power to make sure users have every chance to be aware about this.

The best analogy would probably be Google Analytics that is installed on pretty much every web site. It counts every page visited by user so web masters then can see which pages are popular, what is average session time, what is most common user path, etc. Same with our statisics - it mostly sends events to the server for dialoge opens and other activity, but it does not send photos, people names, or anything that can be considers as personal information. This way we can measure popularity of this or that feature.

As I said before, you can disable this in paid version, just please check your settings.
