Could you tell me how to get HEVC thumbnails for older images?

Yesterday, I did a clean install of Windows 10 and then installed Tonfotos. I forgot to install the HEVC extension from the Windows Store untiil earlier today.

The scan completed yesterday.

Now, all images before HEVC was installed show the “ripped picture” icon placeholder. If I click on this, the full size image does show (so HEVC is working).

Also, the thumbnails are showing for any pictures I took after HEVC was installed.

I restarted the machine. I did a “rescan folder” by right clicking on the folder. Still no thumbnails for images before HEVC was installed.

Is there another option or fix instead of removing and re-adding the folder?

arialnovelty “Rescan the folder” only tells program to look for changes in specific folder. However, since files were already indexed and no changes were made, it does not detect anything. What you need to do is to reindex those files. Just select them with the mouse holding down the Shift button and then chose “Re-index file(s)” from context menu. That will force the program to index files once again.
