I have lost recognition of one of my family members who had over 8000 recognized faces.
I am not sure how this could have happened.
How can I restore this person or force a rescan to find them.
I do not remember deleting the person, but it could have happened by accident?

Thanks

MelFish Sorry you have faced this problem. It would really help to understand the situation if you could remember what you were doing before that happened and any relevant information that could help to understand the reason.

Do you have your photo archive locally or on shared folder? Do other computers have access to the same folder? Do you use dossier synchronisation function?

    Hi,

I sent a full reply back via e-mail but I am not sure that you received it.

However, now, after going over my actions once again, I was renaming someone and I probably deleted them in error by misplacing my mouse curser and selecting delete person. There was no warning that came up so this would be a good thing to add to the program to ensure that no deletion errors are made by the user.

Is there any way now to recover the deleted individual’s information.

The files (photos) are still on my shared SSD hard drive and I am using Tonfotos on both my windows 10 desktop computers. (I have family pack)

I am using the dossier option on both computers.

    Thanks

    Mel

MelFish Thank you for providing detailed information. Sorry this happened.

There is possibility to undo some type of actions using Control+Z command, but only if you do that right after. However right now I guess this is not an option anymore, and you will have to assign faces once again.

Is there anyway to see unknown faces ( faces that have question marks on them )?

MelFish right now there is no special section where you can see unknown faces, unfortunately. Though this is something people ask a lot about, so it might be implemented down the road.
