How do you use the Events view?

I’ve been using the app for about 5-6 weeks now and I mainly spending my time in Folders, Location and People views.

But for the Events view, I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do with it. All I can see are very small thin lines and it’s so difficult to click on a particular line. Also, since I organise my photo albums by date format (YYYY-MM-DD) the Folders view is all I need to see.

Is my list of events in my photo collection exceeded how this tab is supposed to be used?

leonardoa no, this is exactly how it is meant to be. Tonfotos is designed for huge archives. Please note, that not everyone have their archive properly sorted to folders by date like yours. For those people it might be the only way to quickly find photos from certain period of time.

And it is OK that your can’t aim into exact date, you just aim anywhere near it and scroll. Actually, it is quite often when you just don’t actually know exact date and still need to look around to find what you are looking for. This is where this view comes in handy.

not sure if i should add this a request or not but wanted to ask do you think it might be a good idea to add a date range option to the events page.

So i can look at events between 2 fields.

Example 1-1-1980 to 1-1-1990

As you can see my events page is long

gosimon You are free to suggest a new feature (as a separate thread please). However, I am not sure that users will support it, but who knows.
