Will TonForos group faces it perceives as similar ('label' them for me)

I have a 2 TB HD and 500 Gig hd. I want a program that will dig through these drives and find all or as many photos as it can. I think TonFotos does this no problem right? Then I would like it to sort/group (Label?) similar faces together. I probably have photos of about 2,000 faces. Will TON do that for me? I was a little confused. I know google photos does but it is going too slow and I can’t force it to scan.

If it will… Will TonFotos create a massive database or pool on my computer of the photos? Should I delete the majority of the ones I do not want to save space? I hope I asked this right.

Dear TonyS, thank you for your interest in Tonfotos!

Tonfotos works with multiple sources no problem. You can connect two hard drives and index photos on them. 2,5TB is not an issue, all photos will be indexed after a while, you just need to be patient.
Tonfotos does have faces recognition and clusterization. Here is the explanation how this feature works. Main idea: you will need to name this people first, only then Tonfotos will be coming up with suggestions.
2000 faces per person is quite a lot, but definitely works.
Tonfotos does not copy any photos from its original locations, but it does create local database with thumbnails. This database is not that massive. I don’t think you will need to delete any photos just because of using Tonfotos.
