漫步桃花源 I did some more research. It looks like we will not be able to apply as developer for Tianditu since we can’t pass verification process (chinese phone and ID required). So we won’t be able to test integration before release. But even if some user would share API key with us for testing, I still see number of critical issues:
- There is no sutiable application type. We can’t apply as website since there is no domain name to whitelist.
- Same with server type - no IP to whitelist, and can’t apply as mobile app either.
- Whole procedure is quite complex so we can’t expect regular user to undergo this nignmare in order to get token and use in our applicaiton. That goes completely agains our phylosofy “should just work”
I am afraid, even though that seems to be a cool service, it’s current security limitations make it unusable for application type like Tonfotos.
