Choose your input and output folder even when a smartphone is present

Tonfotos goes to get the files in the DCIM folder of a smartphone. That’s fine, but sometimes you might want to import from somewhere else, like WhatsApp image and video folders, for example.

Similarly, for the destination, you can choose a main folder but not subfolders. Personally, this frustrates me even though I could partially work around it for this part. I’d like to be able to choose the destination subfolder. I’m used to putting things in a subfolder called “9999 - TO SORT,” then I sort and rename before putting them in the right folder.

Alain22 Import function is made with very specific scenario in mind - copying new photos to your archive regularly with minimal effort. That is it, nothing more. If you just want to copy some subfolder to some custom destination, why you just don’t do that in File Explorer? Why would you even need Tonfotos for that?

To be honest, I don’t really need Tonfotos, I either use ‘FastStone Image Viewer’ or the file explorer. I would have found the solution handy and it would have allowed me to use Tonfotos more. I can easily work around it. For the destination, it’s enough for me to create a temporary folder at the same level as my ‘my_photos’ folder. On the other hand, for importing WhatsApp files, I have to go through the explorer or other methods. It’s certain that there could be many other priorities.
