漫步桃花源

I am a user from China. Thank you to the author for providing such a user-friendly photo management application, and I’m also delighted that Chinese language support has been added in the new version.
Facial recognition is very useful for finding individual people, but is there a way to quickly locate group photos with multiple people? For example, I need to view photos of me with a certain friend or multiple friends.
Additionally, many of our photos are dynamic Live Photos, but they do not move when viewed. Could you please support this feature?

Andrey

漫步桃花源 Thank you for kind words!

We already placing photos with location information on the map, so you can easily find events you want based on their location. Did you try that already? Can you please explain why this is not enough for your task?

漫步桃花源

Thank you for your reply. I have tried it, and the map is quite convenient. What I mean is that, for example, by entering the names of two people, you can directly search for all group photos of them together. Additionally, many of our JPG photos are dynamic real-time photos, but when viewing them now, they appear static. Will you consider supporting this dynamic viewing?

Andrey

Yes, that is supported also, use Filters funciton. Add two people to filter and you will see all photos where they are together.

Do you mean Live Photo from iPhone? Basically it is shown now as two files - one is JPEG/HEIC and other short MOV files, which they are.

漫步桃花源

Andrey “Add two people as filtering conditions.” I haven’t learned how to use this yet; I’ll study it more carefully.
Live Photos, unlike on iPhones which are split into two files (JPG and MOV), on Android phones in recent years are stored as a single JPG file. However, the image is dynamic. There should be such photos available in your area as well, right?
The source file is too large to upload, so I have attached a screenshot of it being opened below for your review.

Andrey

漫步桃花源 Can you please send sample file to support@tonfotos.com? I would like to review it.

漫步桃花源

Andrey It has been successfully delivered. Please check and receive it.

Andrey

漫步桃花源 Thank you, I see the mail. I will check and reply later.

Andrey

Andrey Thank you for sharing sample file. I did some additional research, and we already have adding support for that kind of media on our backlog, but I am afraid it is not with the high priority right now. We don’t get many requests for that yet.

漫步桃花源

Andrey Another question: After adding album tags, can the photos also be sorted in chronological order based on when they were taken? Currently, they are arranged by the time the tags were added, which looks very disorganized.

I would also like to see that feature someday: the ability to see android live photos, where the video was embedded inside the jpg (separate feature than the iPhone’s split jpg / mov files)
