Interface performance
The program’s internal mechanisms have undergone a major overhaul. Now, the program maintains consistent performance even when browsing personal albums containing tens of thousands of faces. We’ve also done extensive profiling, eliminating numerous minor issues that could cause interface lags. The UI now runs smoothly in virtually all modes, with a screen refresh rate approaching 120 fps on monitors that support this refresh rate.
At the same time, a minor bug that slowed down scanning archieve for changes was fixed—it’s now up to 10 times faster. On my 1TB network archive, scanning for changes now takes about 1 minute.
Pause button
Perhaps after all the changes described above, this isn’t as necessary anymore, but we did it anyway. We’ve received numerous requests to add the ability to pause scanning so it doesn’t slow down your current work. Now, when you hover your mouse over the status bar at the bottom of the window, a button appears that allows you to pause scanning for 10 minutes. You can unpause it in the same way.

Warning
To speed things up, a significant portion of the user interface was rewritten from scratch. This includes a significant amount of logic that has been gradually refined over four years. Even though we’ve tested the new version extensively, there’s still a chance we missed something, and some features may not work exactly as they did before. If you happen to find a problem, please let us know.
