I’d like to share a practical workflow for reducing image size while keeping good visual quality:
Q: What’s the recommended image size for web photos?
A: Main product images: longest side 2048px. Thumbnails: longest side 800px. Don’t upload raw full-size camera files.
Q: Which image format should I choose?
A: Use WebP for photos, it’s 25–35% smaller than JPG with similar quality. Remove EXIF metadata to cut extra file weight.
Q: What tool for batch compression?
A: Caesium Image Compressor, free and local. Set quality 80–85.
Q: Any web tips?
A: Don’t hotlink external gallery images like ShootProof, they have hotlink protection and slow loading. Use lazy load for off-screen images.
