Indexing new photos stops

Since a few days, after having added new photos in a folder or added new folder on the source, when starting Tonfotos it doesn’t add them in the catalog.
The progress bar at the bottom freezes with “1m left - checking for changes …(and my new photos)” message forever

Didier There also usually is a file name that is being currently processed. Is it always the same? If it is, probably there is something wrong with this file, please check.

I am running in to the same problem.

After adding a dozen photos to the most recent folder within my identified “Photo Archive Location” TonFotos would not index the new photos. It did report that it was "Checking for Changes on the last photo in that group of new photos, and would not complete. (After a couple of hours)
I backed-up and deleted that last photo in the group and re-ran TonFotos. Not it reported the same error against the new “last photo” in the group
I repeated the same steps for several photos
Then deleted the Tonfotos.ini file in that most recently used subfolder and re-ran TonFotos hoping that it would start fresh with a new Tonfotos.ini file - - This did not happen
I backed up the entire most recently being used subfolder and then created a new folder for those photos under a different name and re-ran TonFotos - - - This did not work, but simply reproduced the same symptoms as before. It reports that TonFotos is “Checking for Changes on the last photo in that group” even when I delete the last and restart
The most recent SubFolder still doesn’t have a TonFotos.ini file

Viking There was a bug in the latest version of the app (1.16.1) that would stop indexing files under certain circumstances. It is already fixed and hotfix will be available soon. Please wait for it before doing anything drastic.

Andrey - - Thank you, very much, for your quick response to this. I have upgraded to Version 1.16.2 and the issue is resolved. Indexing is working and the TonFotos.ini file is back.
Interesting that in some cases, some of the facial recognition indexes were already confirmed, as if the confirmations that I had made earlier in the month were saved somewhere.
Either way, everything is good.

I guess the reply that I thought I had sent this afternoon, was not successfully sent.
After you restart TonFotos . . . in 3 to 5 minutes you will see a pop-up window which will allow you to restart and upgrade. . . .
