In short, I only back up the databases to keep my albums. Nevertheless, I will continue; it could be useful if I rebuild a PC.
I thought about tags, which is actually what Picasa did by default. It wasn’t a bad idea since tonfotos recovered them all automatically.
It’s true that it wasn’t necessary for albums created temporarily to make photo books, for example. On the other hand, for specific themes, it was useful. Ideally, there would have been an option at the album name level.
For your information, your documentation is really well done, I go there regularly now.
