This was mentioned in a private email (with an answer that at this time, there are other priorities) but would like to put it out there as an official feature request
Tonfoto’s location feature is great as it shows photos and clusters of photo on a map to which it can be pretty detailed. However if you compare this feature with other similar services (ie - Synology Photos, Photoprism, etc…) the level of details in which you can zoom into the maps is not there. For pretty most other services, you can zoom down to the building level of a specific address in a residential area, whereas Tonfoto is just the general community within a few hundred feet.
I have thousands of photos within one location and for example it is nice to know and browse through those photos within a campus (Tonfotos) but it would be better to browse photos located in a specific building or, if the building is large enough for precision, the north wing of the library.
comparison of geolocation feature pinpointing a specific location has been submitted privately.
