Order of a Subject's Parents in Family Tree

I am attempting to create a simple 3 generation family tree using Tonfotos. Displaying left to right, I want the male parent first then the female parent. alongside to the right.

As I add people, is the family tree display order determined by the order in which I added the person to Tonfotos? Some of my added parents are correct, male first then female, but some are female first then male.

Any help please to display in the correct L to R order?

Jewellery Currently there is no specific order, I am afraid. Actually, program does not even know who is male and who is female.

The programming must have some inbuilt ordering for displaying the images. I have removed then re-added the relationships between the “child” and the parents, both ways around (ie male first, then female and vice versa), and there is no consistency in the tree view across either branches of the tree. Does the software developer read these threads? Perhaps they could check the code and advise what determines the placement of the parent photos of a child?

Jewellery I checked the code. Where it makes sense, it applies sorting by age (for children within family, between brothers). However, this does not apply to parents. Parents come in database order (basically random).

Can the code be amended to order the tree view in the order the parents were added (and instruct the user in the guide to add the parents in the order they want them displayed), L to R, i.e., in my case, add the male parent first, then the female parent. It is so annoying to see that no rhyme or reason is applied!
