Tonfotos, access to the same stock from 2 PCs

My photo library is on PC 01, an installed purchased version is there.
A second PC 02 accesses the photo library on PC 01, tonfotos free is also installed there with its own databases but without permission to manage XMP files, etc.

I tried to understand how it works. There is no problem for the databases that remain on each PC,
However:
PC1 marks a folder as “ignored”
PC2 does not know this setting → rewrites tonfotos.ini → “ignored = false”
PC1 reads again → the folder is no longer ignored → it will rescan it

In one sense, this would not be serious since I have no ignored subfolders. However, I have the impression that this causes permanent rescans and that this is not a good idea especially if there are simultaneous accesses.

I would like to have confirmation. To be safe, I uninstalled the free version of tonfotos on the 2nd PC.

Alain22 Tonfotos will synchronize information about people on photos. But each copy has separate settings of which folders to scan. That inculdes which folders to ignore. This is information is not synchronized, that is by design.
