Liquid Lens Thank you for sharing sample files. I have checked them on several devices (both Windows and Mac) and they were opened fine on all of them. I haven’t noticed any issues with preview nor with fill screen view. So it means to me that files are actually OK.
Also, as you mentioned, when opened in view mode, picture is displayed OK on your computer too. So the issue is that image was not correctly processed during initial scan when thumbnail was generated.
We are using sharp library for image processing, and this is incredibly solid library, tested by millions of people. I would not expect that it would randomly damage images when processing them. At least we would hear from many other Tonfotos users about that, but we don’t. Can it be hardware issue?
In any case, if this problem is random, I would expect re-indexing files to solve the issue. Are you sure you did re-index on files, not rescan on folder? Rescan just check for changes again, it will not force recreation of the thumbnail unlike re-index.
