I just purchased Tonfotos and installed yesterday on a Windows 11 PC. I scanned a folder with subfolders and images with thousands of images. During the process I was prompted to tag a face and assign a name which I did. I followed the tutorial video on tagging people and used the file menu to suggest new persons or to the next. What followed was not a great sign:
And then finally:
I then went to file > filters > files with unassigned faces. There are tons of photos of non-people in this list, first off. I chose a few that had people in them, tagged some faces. Then went to the People tab at the top and saw them listed. Checked for more people to tag using the same method. When I came back to check the People tab I saw that Tonfotos chose 30 or more images of computers, cables, nature scenes, refrigerators, etc under a specific person that I had tagged that had a good photo of their face when I tagged them. This happened to multiple people in my list as well, photos of a clear blue sky for instance tagged as that person, just complete random choices that I had to manually remove.
I then waited overnight and came back to Tonfotos to suggest a new person and it’s the same carousel of non-people being suggested. So far I am not very pleased with the product and am unable to find an email for support to request a refund. Is there any channel where I can reach customer service?
agfa9600 Sorry to hear about your experience. This is definitely not what most other users are expereincing, as you may see yurself by other discussions on this forum. I wonder why it works that way for you.
By the way, do you use CUDA? If yes, I would guess there was some malfunction during facial recognition on GPU that lead to this garbage. CPU recognition is usually much more stable.
Anyway, if what you want is refund - here’s the email: support@tonfotos.com
