leftside in current version of Tonfotos there is no way to separately set First, Last and other names for a person, only a “Name” that contains everything as one string. Therefore it is not really possible to confidently determine what exactly is a last name of a person for sorting.
And this is actually a common practice for all photo management software. And XMP metadata format also does not support separate fields for First and Last names, only one Name string.
