You buy a one computer license and not a one user license

Be aware, there is no customer service and you can’t use this software on two computers even if you deactivate on the first and reactivate on the second. So you can’t start working on a home computer and continue on a laptop in the train. If you do that, you can only do it a limited number of times after which you’ll be stuck. Tonfoto do not want to tell how many time you can do it….

Camco I cannot really agree with your opinion “there is no customer service” but that is fine. The use of the license obviously has limitations, and as @Stig rightfully mentions, this “1 user/device” is clearly stated in our marketing materials. I am sorry if this is not what you would prefer, but that is our current pricing policy. If you are planing to use program on two computers regularly, you might consider purchasing additional license. It is totally up to you to decide if this additional convenience worth the price.

if i had not my laptop as my main pc, then i would do the same as you, like in the steam app, where you can only play on one pc at a time, so steam tells you “sorry you cant start this game, because some other pc is playing it right now” -> so i can play it on two pcs but not simultaiiniously. But you are saying this is not possible? (i have not tried it yet)

maybe using one pc as the main and the other without a licence as just the viewer could work?

Well, yes the license does state: 1 user/device. (1 user pr device OR 1 device)
You have two devices.
But I see what your asking, normally people have several machines they work on, so normally a family license is better option. The discussion if you like the program and want to upgrade from 1->5 family is something that has been discussed, but I don’t know whats the ending to that.

There no limit on amount of license transfers, but there is a limit on how often you can do that. If limit is exceeded, you will not be able to transfer again yourself for some time, only by contacting support.

For users who want to use two PC’s on regular basis, we typically recomend obtaining second license.
