Oriel will it be too much if I ask what you are actually trying to achieve going thru all those efforts?

Andrey Sure, this is just me playing around with SD running locally on my GPU (instead of some spy cloud), essentially, i use dreambooth to add a person (f.e my kid) to an existing model, then use it to generate images like
“kidNameSD as a superhero flying over a building with lazer eyes, comicbook, jack kirby” or “kidNameSD riding a dragon, illustration, fantasy theme”
i’m getting mixed results, but occasionally something truly amazing comes out, and results are better the more images i add to the dataset.

KevinG I did a quick research on topic of photo mosaic, this is quite interesting. Actually, it should not be that difficult to generate mosaics like that in Tonfotos, and that would definitely be much easier for users, than generating tons of intermediate photos and then uploading to some other applications.

However, I would like to ask you about that use case a bit more, if you don’t mind. Just trying to understand how useful that can be for other users.

      • What you typically do with mosaics like that? Is this some sort of birthday present?
      • Do you ever print mosaics, or this is purely digital art?
      • Why faces? Do you use full images too? Do faces add more meaning to this art?

Oriel this is very interesting. Actually, I guess that could be a cool feature to add to Tonfotos sometime in the future.

Faces because it is much more impressive when they see their photo is made from their faces, the sample was done from Picasa faces that I used before your program.
Made birthday cards, used in PowerPoint celebrations, normally shared as digital version so they can zoom in and see their faces.
I suggest that you enable faces to be saved and let people use what ever program they want to create Mosaic as it would require a lot of programming to integrate into your program.

Just had friend pass away and would like to be able to download all his faces for the family, can make my own collage but the only option now is to screen grab each face. Very time consuming if there are 100s of faces

        KevinG sorry about your loss.

I hope you understand that I have to prioritise feature requests based on popularity.

Understand, just thought you must already create faces files so might be easy to export

Any progress on exporting faces, in the age group I am in, with many funerals (3 since last post) , happy with quality and size of faces you display, but a long process of screen grabbing each face and pasting or saving them to make collage.

KevinG sorry to say, but I am afraid there is not that many people asking for this functionality. I have to prioritise other tasks first.

          FYI
I have experimented, exported 10,200 pictures with my wife in them, to a seperate folder using Tonfotos, installed Picasa (still available as standalone application) and did face recognition on this folder, it found only 4,500 pictures with my wife in them which I could export as faces only. I now have the 4,500 face only images that I can use for collages etc.

TonFotos is much better than Picasa at finding faces.

          a month later

Export Faces only, I have found a way to get faces exported to a folder, time consuming but if I only want say 10-20 faces worth the effort.
I found some free screengrab called Greenshot that lets me set a hotkey, select face image and automatically saved to selected folder
