Why?
We develop Tonfotos for you, our users. And without your feedback, it can't be a truly great product.
However, only a small number of users use the feedback form on the site to report problems with the program or share their ideas. And this is understandable - some kind of faceless form, it is not known who is at the other end, and whether they will even read it.
It is much more comfortable to see that your question is not lost, but remains published. See that other people's questions get their answers. In addition, it often turns out that your question is not unique and a similar topic has already been discussed on the forum, and there is a solution there. This will significantly reduce the time and effort to find a solution to the problem for our users.
We believe in the power of community
Finding solutions to problems and issues is very important, but it is equally important that the product develops and meets the expectations of our users as closely as possible. As well as new innovative features should appear in it, which none of the competitors have. This can only be achieved with effective communication and debates about the best possible solution.
Which in turn is only possible with vibrant community of caring people. However this community is impossible without a convenient platform on which those people could communicate, not only with us, but also among themselves. Open, transparent, friendly and inclusive.
Why make another forum instead of using Facebook/Discord/etc.?
For several reasons, the main one is that our audience is very diverse, consisting of a large number of different ages and nationalities. It is simply impossible to choose one social network that would be convenient for everyone.
In addition, social networks decide based on some of their own mercantile considerations, what to show to the user and what not. So when all the discussions on the topic are collected in one place, there will be no such thing as questions that got buried in the feed and remained unanswered. Yes, it's a little more old-fashioned technology, but it's proven itself over the years, and it achieves its goals perfectly.
Let's talk!
I look forward to your questions, bug reports, ideas and just chatting about photos and their storage. Welcome!
